Community Service :

This “Avenue” relates to the activities that Rotarians undertake to improve the quality of life in their community. Particular emphasis is given to helping children, needy families, the aged, the handicapped, and those most in need of assistance. Rotarians strive to promote the ideal of service in their personal, business, and community lives.

Some of the Signature projects carried out in this avenue are:

Medical/Health Camps

Organizing various Medical Camps like Cancer detection, Blood Donation, Thalassaemia, Dental & Eye Check up, Camps for Woman health problems, Senior Citizens, Students etc including treatments wherever found necessary.

Thane Flood Relief Measures

Providing Food Packets (with the help of local citizens) during critical time and donating basic household items (with the help of Thane Rotary Clubs) to the tune of Rs. 23 lakhs to severely effected people from, Areas of Kalwa Mumbra Diva and Thane West

Polio Eradication Drive

Supply of Vaccines for Eradication of Polio from our locality and country

Benches and News Paper Stand

Installed Benches and News Paper Stand at AshtaVinayak Chowk and Nr. Nakhwa School for the benefit of Senior Citizens and Students.

AIDS Awareness Project

Creating awareness in many local slums and underdeveloped areas ( Anand Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Check Naka) and helping in controlling expansion of HIV Patients.
